Digital prints and live performances with projections.

This series of large format digit prints were made from images captured during live performances where long exposure times were used to turn 3 –dimensional movements into photographs of 2-dimensional drawings.  

Gestures were made in the dark with a match in each hand, the gestures were recorded with a camera and the resulting image was projected on a screen immediately after each movement was made.

I used fire, light, smoke and under water ink to explore ephemeral mark making, persistence of vision and ambidextrous body movement. I recoded and produced the music as Cynders
